Graham LS5/5F
The LS5/5F is a development of the LS5/5. Using the same drive units and crossover points, the larger cabinet results in even more bass extension - reaching well below the -2dB point of 35Hz in practice.
We have also taken the opportunity to add the tweeter level control to the front panel. This allows the tweeter level to be increased or decreased by 1 decibel, and while the effect is relatively subtle with most programme material, it has proven to be a really popular facility that allows the listener to fine-tune the speaker to their listening environment.
In common with the stand-mount LS5/5, this model uses slot-loading to improve the power response of the unit, which greatly improves the behaviour in typical listening rooms. Much more about how this works can be found in this in-depth article.
We continue to use the BBC-style "thinwall" cabinet construction, which uses relatively thin panels that are mass-loaded to move resonances away from the critical mid-range region.
Rockwool provides air damping. Finished with superb quality, hand-matched veneers. The grille held in place by concealed
rare-earth magnets.
