3 Months with the MIRAMA's

The VOTU Miramas have been quite easy to dial in (perhaps surprisingly so), although that's probably a lot to do with the acoustic treatment in my dedicated listening room (which took years to perfect!) Their final position is just millimeters from the initial placement, with adjustment to the locations of some other room furnishings.

I believe that the loudspeakers are still running in. They sounded amazing right from new. After a month or so they were becoming noticeably more open towards the end of an extended listening session. At the 3 month point, it's now about 15-30 minutes for them to 'warm up'.

Once warmed up, they present music with effortless ease.  Their dynamic range appears to be limitless and they have amazing clarity and insight. The usual audiophile superlatives don't do justice to these loudspeakers, they're that good.  I have had two friends, on separate occasions, remark that the music sounds like it's real - not reproduced - a live sound that is usually only to be heard if the band is in the room with us.

The effortless presentation encourages one to crank the volume, which only serves to make the effect even more remarkable 😀 In fact, it is only when attempting to hold a conversation that one realises just how loud one is enjoying one's music! (as demonstrated by the photograph). The difference here is that music is both loud and clean, without a trace of shout or strain.

At any volume, the Mirama's allow me to 'see' inside the music, follow any individual instrument or voice with ease, or relax and take in the whole performance. I've never experienced before being able to hear, so clearly, around and behind the performers, such is the incredible natural resolution of fine detail.

These loudspeakers are able to transport me directly to the performance venues, time after time. They are absolutely and completely involving.

The VOTU Miramas can be summed up succinctly: they play music, realistically.  I've yet to hear any other hifi loudspeaker systems come close (and I have heard a fair number over the years, including some at many times the price).

I feel very lucky to own this pair of loudspeakers. Congratulations to Graham Audio in creating a masterpiece!
